Sitting up here in this great mountain cabin overlooking Lake Kachess, it’s easy to wish it was summertime. The sun is shining outside and there are beautiful blue skies over the lake – except for a bit of snow here and there, it almost looks like summer outside.

Drew begins his chemo next Tuesday, Jan 7. Treatments will occur every 14 days. Current plans are for a total of 12 treatments (six 28-day cycles) – Tuesday, June 10, 2014 is the day we hope Drew will receive his final chemo. This makes June 11th a date that seems worthy of circling on the calendar. The rivers will be open and June has some good fishing on the eastside. I think we’ll start making some plans for that trip now!

There’s another fisherman I know who has a daughter fighting cancer at this moment. Ryan, we’re praying for Browyn every day. I hope June 11th can be a fishing day for the two of you as well!
